A heated dispute has erupted in Parliament over the vetting of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the ministerial nominee for the Foreign Affairs Ministry, and Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Health Minister-designate.

The Minority members on the Committee assert that it was agreed upon to vet only four nominees today, Thursday, January 30, 2025.

However, the Majority insists that the vetting of the two remaining nominees should proceed.

The disagreement nearly escalated into physical altercations among some MPs.

In the chaos, some microphones were damaged.

The Majority Chief Whip, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamakpor, and Alhassan Tampuli, the former Transport Minister, nearly came to blows.
