The Ministry of Roads and Highways has announced the reintroduction of road and bridge tolls.
A statement issued by the ministry said the reintroduction of the tolls is to help generate revenue for road maintenance and related matters.
According to the Ministry, it is putting together the modalities for a modern, technologically driven toll collection system.
It announced plans to employ an open, transparent, competitive, cost-effective, and fair procurement process.
The statement also assured the Ghanaian public that the ministry will ensure it introduces a modernised system that addresses the current tolling and road maintenance funding challenges of the country.
