Finali Limited, the landlord of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has provided details of the tenancy agreement between it and the minister.
This comes after the minister wrote to the landlord, instructing them to provide details of his agreement to the Appointments Committee.
In his letter to the landlord, the minister said he wants the information to be provided on grounds of transparency and accountability despite objections from the chairman of the Appointments Committee.
The company, in its response, provided details of the agreement, which was dated March 1, 2017, and the land title certificate issued on December 15, 2017.
“Our records show:
1. A Land Title Certificate issued on December 15, 2017 and registered as GA. 53985 Volume 02 Folio 1440 for a parcel of land measuring 0.29 acres—one plot, from Finali Limited to Husni Altheebeh.
“2. A Tenancy Agreement dated March 1, 2017, between Husni Altheebeh and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa & Nuhela Seidu, for which we granted our consent on August 8, 2017. 3. A Renewal Agreement dated March 1, 2022.
“The tenancy is still subsisting, and the requisite consent has been granted thereon.
Kindly find attached copies of the following documents for your reference: i. Land Title Certificate dated December 15, 2017. ii. Consent certificate 2022 renewal.
“III. Tenants Undertaking signed in 2017 and 2022, respectively. iv. Lessee’s Acknowledgement 2017 and 2022. Airport Hills is an owner-occupied community, with a very limited number of rentals subject to the consent of Finali Limited.”
