Nene Drolor, Bosso Adamtey I was elected as the Greater Accra Region’s representative to the Council of State on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
He received 40 votes, beating out the other candidates in the race.
Three aspirants—Obed Nyarko, Albert Borketey Naawu, and Musah Ziyad—withdrew from the election, leaving only ten candidates to run.
The Council of State is a constitutional advisory body established under Article 89 of Ghana’s 1992 Constitution.
It has appointed and elected members who advise the president on governance issues.
Each region elects a representative, and others are appointed based on their expertise and experience.
