Former Defence Minister and Member of Parliament for Bimbilla, Dominic Nitiwul, has accused the government of using the military to intimidate him.
The lawyer claimed he was not the only one targeted by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking on the floor of Parliament on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, Nitiwul disclosed that armed military personnel had been trailing his movements, a situation he described as unfortunate.
“They are using soldiers to intimidate Ghanaians, including myself, and that is not democracy,” he lamented.
He was contributing to the discussion on the floor of parliament concerning the raid of the house of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
CCTV footage shows some armed military men raiding the former minister’s house in an attempt to arrest him.
