Funds have been released to the affected schools whose account balances were swept away by the CAGD.
Dr. Clement Apaak, the Deputy Education Minister designate, made the announcement via a tweet on X, formerly Twitter.
It should be noted that certain senior high schools were on the verge of financial collapse after their accounts with the Bank of Ghana were repeatedly emptied.
The situation left the affected schools unable to purchase essential supplies or feed students.
This was disclosed by the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS).
Dr. Apaak, who represents the constituents of Builsa South, disclosed the situation had been resolved with funds released to all the affected schools.
The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has also ensured that additional funds have been released to cover two extra weeks.
Dr. Apaak commended President John Dramani for his swift action in resolving the matter.
He wrote “All funds have been released to affected schools whose account balances were reportedly swept away by CAGD. The Hon. Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has gone ahead to ensure that additional funds have been released to cover two extra weeks. President Mahama indeed cares!”
