Mr. Agbana revealed that out of the 947 applications received and review done, 300 outstanding applicants or students from 35 tertiary institutions were shortlisted to receive financial support.

These students are expected to receive between 60% and 100% of their tuition, the MP said in a Facebook post.

”After a rigorous review of 947 applications, the Board of Trustees has shortlisted 300 outstanding students across 35 tertiary institutions to receive financial support covering 60% to 100% of their tuition fees.

This Sunday, March 2, 2025, we will hold the maiden scholarship award ceremony at the Municipal Assembly Hall, where we will officially unveil the scheme and the first cohort of beneficiaries, the selection criteria, the source of funding, and our strategic plan to ensure the sustainability of this initiative.”
