The management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has launched an investigation into the death of a level 400 biological sciences student.
The school, in a statement, said the body of the student was discovered lying near the KNUST Disability and Rehabilitation Centre and was promptly sent to the University Health Services, where she was pronounced dead.
Parents of the student the school disclosed have been officially informed of the death of their daughter.
The deceased student has been identified as Joana Deladem Yabani.
‘’A comprehensive investigation is underway in collaboration with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), KNUST Internal Security, and the University Health Services to determine the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident. The university management is fully committed to ensuring that all necessary measures are taken to ascertain the facts.”
