President John Dramani Mahama has his State of the Nation Address (SONA) delivered today, Thursday, February 27, 2025, and has commended Parliament for the swift vetting and approval of his ministerial nominees.
The president described this as unprecedented in Ghana’s democratic history.
He stated,’I wish to convey my heartfelt gratitude to Parliament for the prompt vetting and approval of my nominees for ministerial positions. This efficiency is unmatched in the Fourth Republic, demonstrating the strides we can make when we come together in our dedication to serve the people of our great country.
He expressed optimism that a similar dispatch would be applied to the process for the vetting and approval of his deputy ministerial nominees.
This, he said, will enable them to assume office and assist their ministers to deliver to the reset agenda.
