Peter Boamah Otokunor has expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for appointing him as Director of Presidential Initiatives in Agriculture and Agribusiness at the Office of the President.
The appointee has promised to commit every bit of his knowledge and skills to deliver on his mission.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Mr. Otokunor also expressed gratitude to the supporters of the party.
He wrote,’I want to express my deepest heartfelt gratitude to H.E. John Dramani Mahama for this rare opportunity to serve in his government as the Director of Presidential Initiatives in Agriculture and Agribusiness at the Presidency. I promise to commit every bit of my knowledge, skills, experience, and energy to this new role to deliver on his vision. And thanks to all the comrades, party folks, and well-wishers for the best wishes. Akpe kaka! ‘Ny3yi Waladon’!! Medaase!!

Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor is an agricultural economist, an economic policy expert, and a researcher.
He holds a Ph.D. degree in agricultural economics from the University of Ghana and an honorary doctorate in executive leadership from New England University—USA.
He holds a diploma in youth development from the International Training College of the International Labour Organisation, Turin, Italy; a Master of Arts degree in economic policy management; and a BSc. degree in agriculture from the University of Ghana, Legon.
His knowledge areas include agriculture, economics, economic policy research, rural development, research, communications, strategic planning, project management, policy planning, and youth development.
He has over 20 years of working experience in the private sector (Sam-Wood Ltd., Modern Aqua Farms Ltd., and OTB Ghana Ltd.) as well as managing his own businesses. He was the CEO of Cardinal Concepts Ltd. (a company he formed at age 20), Phamtrust Group of Companies, and currently the Chairman of Heamp Agro Group Ltd.
