The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has provided an update on the ongoing investigation into the death of Joana Deladem Yabani, a level 400 Biomedical Science student.
The school, in a statement issued by the Office of the Registrar, disclosed that significant progress has been made in the case.
According to the school, crucial evidence has been discovered by investigators that will help in dealing with the matter.
The statement said the police and university security services have successfully retrieved Joana’s laptop and mobile phone, which were found hidden behind the Flint Hostel.
It said the items were retrieved through the analysis of CCTV footage from the hostel’s security surveillance system.
