Deputy Attorney General Justice Srem-Sai has confirmed that the raid at the house of former governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr. Ernest Addison, was sanctioned.
Speaking to journalists, he revealed that the residence of the former governor was not the only location that was raided.
He said efforts were underway to pursue persons believed to have looted state assets, being money or other property.
The Deputy Minister took responsibility for the raid and clarified that it was carried out with proper legal authorisation.
“We take responsibility for the search that happened. We want to make it clear that those searches and the mode in which they were done were in accordance with the law. Warrants were procured and used,” he said.
