Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has opined that the 2025 budget statement paints President John Dramani Mahama as a ‘’talk and do leader”.
He commended the president for delivering on his campaign promises.
Commenting on the closing of the debate for the 2025 budget statement, Mahama Ayariga indicated that the policies in the budget statement align with Mahama’s campaign commitments.
“Mr Speaker, the budget clearly establishes President John Dramani Mahama as a talk and do President of Ghana,” Ayariga stated.
He cited, among other things, the elimination of the E-levy, betting tax, and emission levy as evidence of Mahama’s commitment to keeping his word.
“E-levy abolished, E-levy ‘yamutu.’ Talk and do President. Betting tax ‘yamutu.’ Talk and do president,” he said.
“Mr Speaker, President John Dramani Mahama promised to abolish the VAT on motor vehicle insurance policy, Mr Speaker that is also going. Talk and do president,” he added.
