The Director-General of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), Charles Kraikue, has been relieved of his duties.
2025, the President’s Secretary, Dr Callistus Mahama, in an official statement directed Kraikue to hand over his responsibilities to Stephen Wilfred Arthur, who will serve as Acting Director-General.
Dr. Mahama conveyed the President’s appreciation for Kraikue’s service to the nation.
The statement read, “I write to formally inform you that the President of the Republic has terminated your appointment as the Director-General of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, effective immediately.
“You are directed to hand over your duties to Stephen Wilfred Arthur, who shall act as the Director-General of the Authority. The president extends his gratitude for your service to the nation.”
The newly appointed Acting Director-General is expected to oversee operations and ensure a smooth transition at the authority.
