A young woman identified as Zinabu, believed to be between 18 and 19 years old, has been found deceased in her bedroom.
It is alleged that the young woman was subjected to gang rape by her attackers.
Three used condoms were discovered beside her body, containing a fluid suspected to be sperm.
The incident occurred at Twifo Praso in the Twifo Atti Morkwa district of the Central Region.
According to Shadrach, reporting on the story on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, a neighbour of Zinabu noticed that her door was usually open.
The neighbour found this unusual, as Zinabu would not normally be awake at that time, and upon entering, discovered her lying naked.
The eyewitness further observed that the victim’s mouth had been sealed with a substance resembling super glue, with apples and three used condoms nearby.
The neighbour then shouted for assistance from other tenants and neighbours, who rushed to the scene.
The incident has caused fear and panic among Praso residents, particularly as Nana Zinabu was expected to graduate from her sewing apprenticeship this year.
The body has been deposited at the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Hospital for further examination.
Meanwhile, Twifo Atti-Morkwa District Commander, Superintendent Charles Addei Boateng, has assured the public that an investigation has begun and those involved will be brought to justice.
