The National Identification Authority (NIA) will today, Monday, April 7, 2025, begin the issuance of Ghana Cards in the Greater Accra Region.
A statement issued by the NIA explained that the exercise will cover both the backlog of printed cards and new registrations at all NIA District Offices.
Ghanaians who applied for card issuance, replacements, or updates to their personal records since June 2023 but have not yet received their cards – are you collecting their cards from the respective district offices where they registered? the statement announced.
Additionally, Ghanaians aged 15 years and above who have not yet registered for the Ghana Card are encouraged to do so starting April 7 at any NIA District Office in the Greater Accra Region.
The statement added that the issuance of printed backlog cards and first-time registrations is completely free of charge.
Meanwhile, services such as card replacement and personal record updates will continue to attract the usual fees at District Offices.
