Founder of MILLS, Mindset, Integrity, Loyalty, Leadership & Service Institute, Koku Anyidoho, has described as excellent the decision by President John Dramani Mahama to suspend the grant of contract appointments for retired appointees as.
The former director of communications at the presidency and policy analyst posited that this is something his institute consistently championed over the years.
In a series of tweets, Mr. Anyidoho indicated that the MILLS championed for this policy to be scrapped because it was unfair and discriminatory in favour of people who were due for retirement.
He was responding to a statement issued by Mr. Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President, to the effect the grant of post retirement contract appointments to retired public service staff has been suspended.
The statement added that ‘’consequently, all requests for such appointments will no longer be considered’’.
Reacting to this, Mr. Anyidoho said ‘’Excellent! This is a policy I have, in conjunction with MILLS Institute, championed for its scrapping because it is not fair and discriminatory in favour of people who have already hit the zenith of their profession. I am elated and MILLS Institute says, congratulations. Ghana first’’.

He further referenced his authored book, ‘’Uncompromising Thoughts’’, as a source document which captured this issue extensively.
‘’If you get a copy of my Book, “Uncompromising Thoughts”, I have written copiously about how the granting of contract extension to certain categories of public servants, must stop. Indeed, this was going to change per the White Paper of the CRC set up by Prez Mills. Good move.’’
