President John Dramani Mahama’s nominee as the Chief Executive Officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, has been confirmed.
He secured 55 votes out of the 56 votes cast from the election to confirm his nomination by the Assembly.
The Regional Minister Dr Frank Amoakohene has asked the new Kumasi mayor to prioritise decongesting the city, improve sanitation, and work to address key challenges at the Kejetia Market.
He assured him that the Regional Coordinating Council will collaborate with the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly to address issues confronting residents.
Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi served as the Municipal Chief Executive Officer (MCE) of Obuasi under the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
