Works have commenced for the installation of crash barriers along the Koforidua-Mamfe-Aburi Highway, Brimso Bridge and the two (2) opposite quadrants opposite the Achimota Forest at the Dimples roundabout, a statement from the Ghana Highways Authority has disclosed.
The Authority says it is acting on behalf of the Ministry to inform the general public of the ongoing works.
A statement issued by the Public Affairs Directorate of the Authority said the ongoing project is similar to successful works recently carried out on the Aburi-Nsawam stretch, which has significantly enhanced road safety and reduced accidents on that corridor.
‘’ Site possession has officially been given to Messrs Hacianda Enterprise Ltd, the contractor, to commence works.
This vital road safety exercise aims to protect road users and enhance overall highway safety,’’ the statement said.

The Ghana Highway Authority, acting on behalf of the Ministry of Roads and Highways wishes to inform the public that works have commenced for the installation of crash barriers along the Koforidua-Mamfe-Aburi Highway, Brimso Bridge and the two (2) opposite quadrants opposite the Achimota forest at the Dimples roundabout.
This move follows similar successful works recently carried out on the Aburi- Nsawam stretch which has significantly enhanced road safety and reduced accidents on that corridor.
