The family of an 18-year-old lady are demanding justice following the death of their daughter.
The unfortunate incident occurred in the Ashanti Region’s Atwima Kwawoma district at the age of two.
Agya Ofori, reporting on Nyankonton Mu Nsem for Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, stated that the motive for the young lady’s murder is unknown.
He disclosed that those who killed her may have raped her before they carried out their act.
According to the reporter, the deceased is Efia Ashong, who was assisting her mother in her bar.
The mother left the shop in her care because she was attending a wedding over the weekend.
Later, word spread in the area that the young lady had been killed by unknown assailants.
She was found lifeless and naked, with her panties and waist beads removed, and fluid suspected to be sperm was discovered at the scene.
The attackers slashed the victim’s throat before leaving her lifeless body at the bar.
The police have since retrieved the body, deposited it at the mortuary, and launched an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, traditional leaders plan to perform rituals Monday evening in order to pray to the gods and expose the person or people responsible for the crime.
