Founder of MILLS, Mindset, Integrity, Loyalty, Leadership & Service Institute, Koku Anyidoho has, through his lawyers, filed a motion ex parte for an order for substituted service in his Ghc 5 million defamation suit against Blessed Godsbrain Smart, aka Captain Smart, and Media General.
The legal team of Mr Anyidoho filed the motion, as Captain Smart and Media General, according to them, continue to evade service for the writ filed against them.
The former director of communication at the presidency filed the suit against them, seeking, among other things, a Gh₵ 5 million Ghana cedis fine and a charge of other damages as deemed fit by the High Court.
In a sworn affidavit, the bailiff of the court has disclosed that he tried to serve the writ to the parties involved, but he kept being blocked.

Background
Mr Samuel Koku Anyidoho filed a defamation suit against Captain Smart and Media General a few weeks ago.
The former Director of Communication at the Presidency stated that the broadcast journalist made several defamatory comments on his TV show in February 2025, which were later republished by GhanaWeb.
Mr Anyidoho, in his suit before the High Court, indicated that the statements have had a negative impact on his mental health and tarnished his reputation, both professionally and within religious circles where he is highly respected.
He is therefore demanding Ghc 5 million in damages, including aggravated/exemplary damages for reputational harm, a retraction and apology and the removal of the content.
