The Volta Regional Police Command has intercepted ammunition which was being transported in a vehicle.
Police personnel on duty at the Tadzewu-Mitsrikasa Police barrier intercepted an Accra-bound Hyundai bus with registration number GR 8246-Q.

The bus which had passengers on board was also carrying 60 cartons of AAA cartridges (15,000 pieces of AAA) and 72 cartons of BB cartridges (18,000 pieces of BB).
A statement issued by the police disclosed that these items were concealed under some luggage.
