So-called leaks from our fact-finding report are fake and propaganda orchestrated by NDC-NPP.

A member of the National Executive Council of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has asked the Ghanaian public to disregard the quotes and attributions made in reference to the final report of the fact-finding committee on the reasons why the party lost the 2024 general elections.

He described such attributions and quotes as purely propaganda fabricated by their political opponents.

Mr Agyepong stated categorically that no aspect of the report has been leaked, redistributed or published anywhere.

Speaking in an interview on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, he noted that the report is a document that will serve as a guide for the NPP in restructuring and reshaping the party towards victory in subsequent elections.

He said, “As a member of the National Council of the party, I have not seen any aspect of the report, and so the quotes attributed to me are misleading, false and fabricated. It is purely a propaganda orchestrated by our political opponents. I have no idea of what is in the report, and yet the NDC ‘s propaganda machine is churning out fake content from the report.

The NDC should desist from this dirty political game. That is not how we progress as a country. You can do your politics well without peddling falsehoods to denigrate your opponents.”

He stressed, “I support the decision by the party not to publish the report. We can learn from the report and guide our steps going forward. That is the most important thing. It is needless to play the blame game. Whoever caused our defeat, the blame game is not necessary at this moment. It is a propaganda that only benefits the NDC. We should focus on the aspects that can help us towards victory in 2028.”

Kwabena Agyepong said the NPP should also be guided so that it does not descend into the abyss of political propaganda, politics of insults and false narratives like the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He indicated that the NDC has a terrible history of being a party that endorses insults and thuggery, but the NPP is known to be a principled party that believes in democracy, freedom of expression and respect for human rights and dignity.
