Two unidentified men armed with knives have allegedly attacked a revenue officer at the Outpatient Department (OPD) of the Yilo Krobo District Hospital.
The attempted robbery is said to have occurred at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
The attackers, according to the information, approached the officer under the pretence of seeking help for a patient.
The officer opened her office, believing they were legitimate clients, to notify those in charge of registration.
However, they turned on her, demanding to know where the cash was kept.
She was attacked and suffered a deep cut on her right brow and arm, which caused her to collapse.
They then forced open the drawers in search of cash. However, they fled when the officer screamed for help.
It remains unclear how the armed men came in to attack the officers.
The security officer on duty has also claimed he did not see them enter the premises.
