Mohammed Abudi has been sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment after he was found guilty of defiling a 13-year-old girl in the Guli Community of the Wa Municipality.
The convict was arrested on Sunday, April 13, 2025, two days after he defiled the victim on April 11, 2025.
He was arraigned before the Wa Circuit presided over by His Lordship Jonathan Avoogo.
A police statement issued and signed by ASP Michael Toya of the Public Affairs Directorate in the Upper East Region provided an update on the matter.
According to the statement, Mohammed Abudi pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment on April 23, 2025.
They warned potential offenders to desist from such crimes.
