President John Mahama has elevated Edmond Kombat as the Acting Managing Director of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR).
The private legal practitioner is replacing Dr Yusif Sulemana.
His elevation was confirmed in a statement issued by TOR’s Corporate Affairs Directorate on Thursday, May 2, 2025.
Edmond Kombat has served as Deputy Managing Director since February 2025.
He brings a wealth of experience in the energy sector to the helm of Ghana’s premier refinery.
His professional background spans various leadership roles, including work at the Ministry of Energy, the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST), and TOR.
Kombat is a co-founder of the Institute of Energy Security (IES) and has contributed to strategic energy projects in countries such as South Africa, Tanzania, and Mozambique.
