President John Dramani Mahama has announced that all his appointees who failed to meet the deadline for declaration of assets will forfeit four months of their salaries.
He noted that all those who did not meet the deadline will forfeit their salaries for four months, which will be put into the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, aka MahamaCares.
The president speaking at the launch of the Code of Conduct for Public Servants on Monday, May 5, 2025, said that all appointees had earlier agreed to forfeit one month’s salary.
“All appointees who failed to declare their assets by March 31 will forfeit their 4-month salaries to be donated to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (Mahama Cares Fund),” he said.
Meanwhile, he has also revealed that all gifts and hampers received by government appointees with an estimated value exceeding GHC20,000 must be declared.
