President Mahama nominates a new batch of DCEs for district assemblies

President John Dramani Mahama has nominated a new batch of District Chief Executives (DCEs) for districts that were yet to have appointees .

The announcement was made in an official statement issued on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

The nominations were done per Article 243 of the 1992 Constitution and the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), as amended by the Local Governance (Amendment) Act, 2017 (Act 940).

According to the statement, President Mahama has submitted the list of nominees for consideration and subsequent confirmation by their local assemblies.
