Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon John Dumelo has revealed that his 2024 parliamentary election victory was an affirmation that the constituents were not satisfied with the work of the former MP.
He noted that it took hard work, dedication, commitment and trust from the people in getting him elected.
Mr Dumelo, who is also the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, appearing on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM, said, ’I was sure of victory because of the good work I had done.
He said losing the election in 2020 gave him lots of insights and experience, which he applied in making things better in 2024.
‘’The fact that I lost in 2020 gave me some experience, and so in 2024 I righted the wrongs and learnt from my mistakes. We gave them a 13,000 gap which was unprecedented,’’ he said.
The Ghanaian farmer, entrepreneur and creative said he was satisfied with what he has achieved so far, assuring the constituents that ’I am confident of what I have done. I have four years but will come in the twinkle of an eye, and so every minute of the day counts,’’ he stated.
