The Students Loan Trust Fund is set to reimburse academic user fees for first-year students pursuing accredited diploma or degree programmes in public tertiary institutions for the 2024/2025 academic year.
The move is under the ‘No Fees Stress policy which President John Dramani Mahama pledged during the 2024 campaign period.
A statement issued by the Trust Fund explained that the reimbursement will start in June and is in conformity with the policy directive from the Ministry of Education.
“To benefit from the his initiative, eligible first year students are encouraged to submit their applications via No-Fees-Stress application portal at Https://nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh. Applications will be validated against admission data from the associated public tertiary institutions.”
On the website it has been stated that ‘’These terms and conditions govern the use of the No-Fees-Stress Application Portal, which provides eligible students with access to financial support from the Government of Ghana through the Students Loan Trust Fund.
By using this portal, you acknowledge and certify that:
- You are a first-year-student pursuing an accredited programme in a public tertiary institution in Ghana.
- You will provide accurate and complete information during registration, including personal and academic details.
- Your information will be shared with the National Identification Authority (NIA) for data verification purposes.
