Political analyst Emmanuel Nti has urged self-styled evangelist Patricia Asiama, popularly known as Agradaa, to refrain from commenting on the dollar she received from Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting Chief Executive of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod).
In his opinion, if Agradaa’s intentions were genuine, she would not be making public commentary about the issue.
Speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, he stated that Agradaa is pretending to be a celebrity and that if she had no ulterior motives, she would not be discussing the matter.
According to him, Agradaa should remain silent if she did not hypnotise or plot to entrap Sammy Gyamfi.
Regarding the New Patriotic Party’s call for Sammy Gyamfi’s dismissal due to alleged breaches of the Code of Conduct, Emmanuel Nti disagreed, citing that there is no provision in the Code of Conduct that Sammy Gyamfi has breached.
He described the call as needless and unfounded, suggesting that the NPP is engaging in politics of equalisation in connection with the Cecilia Abena Dapaah saga.
Emmanuel Nti also questioned the character of Agradaa, stating that she does not deserve the money she received considering her past attacks on the NDC during the 2024 campaign period.
He challenged those criticising Sammy Gyamfi to reflect on their own actions and deny if they have never given gifts to others before.
Emmanuel Nti reiterated that the attack on Sammy Gyamfi is purely for political equalization and is both needless and unfounded, and that his only concern would have been about the foreign currency.
He stated, ”In my view, there is no section of the Code of Conduct that he has violated. The NPP’s call is unnecessary and unjustified. They are pursuing a politics of equivalence regarding the Cecilia Abena Dapaah issue. NPP’s actions are purely for political equalisation, which is unnecessary and unfounded. I have no issue with Sammy Gyamfi since he hasn’t broken the law; the only concern was about the foreign currency.”
