The Ho High Court 1 has convicted and sentenced seven individuals for their roles in the robbery and murder of Mawutor Adzahli, a former assembly member of Sogakope.
The court presided over by Justice Ekow Mensah determined that three of the convicts were guilty of both robbery and murder.
Richard Adikyere received a life sentence for his involvement in the murder, while Stephen Adzibolo and Emmanuel Hedzero were each sentenced to 46 years in prison.
According to a police statement, four other defendants who entered guilty pleas during the trial were convicted based on their admissions.
These individuals, identified as Samuel Kofi Zotorvi, Christian Zotorvi, Michael Sam, and Obed Ayornu, received prison sentences ranging from 15 to 20 years, with Samuel Kofi Zotorvi and Christian Zotorvi each receiving 15 years, and Michael Sam and Obed Ayornu each receiving 20 years.
The convicts are currently incarcerated at the Ho Central Prisons.
