The Manso Adubia Police Command in Ashanti has arrested four suspects in connection with peddling narcotics in the area.
The police, in a statement, clarified that the suspects were arrested through an intelligence-led operation in some ghettos.

According to the service, the exercise is part of its intensified operational activities aimed at clamping down on criminal activities.
The suspects have been identified as Mohammed Iddrisu, 47, Dickson Ofosuhene aka Panda, 27, Cletus Nyaaba, 19, and Emmanuel Asare, 21.

Details provided by the police revealed that Mohammed Iddrisu was arrested in possession of 550 slabs of dried substances suspected to be Indian hemp, 82 sachets of 250mg tramaking tablets, and a cash amount of GHC 1,340.

Dickson Ofosuhene and Emmanuel, on the other hand, were arrested in possession of 120 slabs of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, 150 sachets of tramaking tablets, and a cash amount of GHC 2,000. Cletus Nyaaba was also arrested in possession of 150 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.

The police further led another operation to the house of an alleged supplier named Thunder, but he absconded upon seeing the police.
Items retrieved at his house included 28 boxes of tramaking tablets, 54 boxes of timiking tablets, 22 slabs of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, 374 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, and a cash amount of GHC 25,000.

The arrested suspects, the police added, are being processed to appear in court for prosecution.
In a related development, the Fomena District Police Command has found and taken custody of arms and ammunition abandoned in a vehicle given as a spare drive by the owner to a suspect spare driver known as Kwaku alias Zador.
The items retrieved are two pump-action guns, 23 rounds of AA ammunition, and 3 BB ammunition.

Preliminary investigation by the police has revealed that the vehicle was given to the spare driver on May 9, 2025, to be returned on May 11, 2025. However, the deadline expired, and the spare driver failed to return the vehicle.
The owner later found the driver at Kwabenekwa, a suburb in Obuasi, and a search in the vehicle led to the items retrieved.
