Hon. Owen Kwame Frimpong, Member of Parliament for Lower West Akim Constituency in the Eastern Region, is discussing efforts to improve education in the area.
According to Hon. Frimpong, the constituency was previously ranked 32nd out of 33 constituencies in the Eastern Region in terms of education.
However, Hon. Frimpong has taken initiatives to address this challenge.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Bohyeba K Afriyie, Rainbow Radio 87.5fm parliamentary correspondent, he stated that he has already organised free classes for students, utilising qualified teachers from the Ghana Education Service.
The MP recently visited these students and expressed encouragement at their progress.
Hon. Frimpong also announced plans to support high-achieving students, particularly those who excel academically, to help them progress to the next level of education.
He expressed optimism that Lower West Akim will improve its educational outcomes and “come out with flying colours”.
