The Ghana National Fire Service on Friday, June 6, 2025, rescued five persons who were trapped in a Kia-Toyota collision at Tuobodom on the Techiman–Kintampo highway.
According to the service, firefighters from the Techiman Metro Fire Station, led by STNO II Amoateng Isaac, swiftly responded to a collision involving a Kia truck (BA-2142-14) and a Toyota Hiace (BT-52-22) at the scene of the accident.
A statement issued by the service stated that the team arrived promptly after receiving the distress call at 1044 hours and successfully rescued five (5) trapped passengers with varying degrees of injuries.
The rescued victims the service revealed were transported to the hospital for medical attention.
The two vehicles involved in the collision were extensively damaged.
According to the GNFS, an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
