GHC1 fuel levy: GPRTU calls off intended strike

GPRTU

The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has called off its planned strike, which was in opposition to the newly introduced Ghc1 per litre of fuel levy.

The union called off the strike scheduled for Tuesday, June 10, 2025, following discussions with the government.

Public Relations Officer of the GPRTU, Ibrahim Moru Abass, in a media interview, disclosed that they suspended the strike after the government postponed the implementation of the GHC1 fuel levy to June 16, 2025.
