Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib, Member of Parliament for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency, conducted an inspection of flood-damaged areas within his constituency to evaluate the impact and consult with affected residents.
The floods have resulted in substantial damage to homes and properties, prompting the MP to advocate for immediate intervention.
Mr Jerry Ahmed Shaib is urging the Minister for Works and Housing to accelerate the construction of a storm drainage system along the Accra-Kasoa Highway to mitigate flooding issues.
Additionally, he requests that the Ministry of Roads and Highways install streetlights along major roads to reduce the incidence of road accidents.
The MP remains dedicated to collaborating with relevant authorities to resolve these persistent challenges.
