Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) retrieved the lifeless body of a schoolgirl, Gloria Segoe, from a pool of water in Kasoa.
The incident occurred on Monday, June 23, 2025, with the operation starting at 22:02 hrs and ending at 22:42 hrs, according to an official statement from the GNFS.
The body was handed over to the police.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding her untimely death.
Meanwhile, a young man, said to be the deceased’s fiancé, has turned himself in to the police.
Emerging details indicate that he had left for work, and upon returning, noticed Gloria Segoe was not at home.
Later, upon hearing that someone had drowned nearby, he rushed to the scene—only to discover it was the deceased.
