A father has allegedly subjected his 14-year-old son, Kelvin, to a brutal beating after the boy misplaced a key.
The incident occurred in Diabene, within the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region.
The boy sustained severe injuries, including multiple wounds and severe head trauma.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as distressing, prompting residents to call for immediate action by authorities.
According to Nana, reporting on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, the suspect, a taxi driver, has been arrested and is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
The reporter stated that the driver had entrusted his son with a key to their room, but upon misplacing it, he beat him.
The victim sought refuge with a neighbour, who subsequently informed other opinion leaders in the area, sent the boy to the hospital, and reported the issue to the Sekondi Police station, resulting in the man’s arrest.
