The Accra Circuit Court has sentenced Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, also known as Nana Agradaa, a self-proclaimed evangelist, to 15 years imprisonment.
She was convicted of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretenses.
Nana Agradaa was found guilty of deceiving victims through a televised broadcast in 2022, wherein she falsely claimed to possess spiritual powers to double money.
Her claims led several individuals to part with large sums of money in hopes of miraculous financial returns, which were never fulfilled.
Prior to sentencing, the court ordered a mandatory pregnancy test, in line with judicial procedures, which yielded a negative result.
