A police officer has assaulted a journalist with GH One TV, who was reporting on the rerun of the parliamentary election at the Ablekuma North constituency, where voting was taking place at 19 polling stations.
The journalist was at the polling station to report on the ongoing election.
However, the officer gave him a hefty slap and instructed him to move away from the polling station.
The incident occurred at the Church of Pentecost, North Odorkor 2 polling station.
Kwabena Agyekum Banahene, a journalist with the EIB Network who reports from outside the region, had travelled from the Central Region to support the EIB team in Accra.
