The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Ablekuma North Constituency, Ewurabena Aubynn, has been officially declared the Member of Parliament-elect following a rerun in 19 polling stations on July 11, 2025.
Notably, this marks the first instance in history where an NDC candidate has secured the seat for the constituency.
Upon completion of the process in the 19 polling stations, the NDC’s Ewurabena Aubynn garnered 34,090 votes, while the NPP’s Akua Afriyie secured 33,881 votes.
The Electoral Commission announced a total of 68,917 valid votes, with 411 ballots being rejected.
The Returning Officer for the Ablekuma North constituency, Joseph Nii Kwatelai Quartey, officially declared the NDC candidate as the Member of Parliament-elect.
