The Health Minister, Kwabena Mintah Akando, addressed Parliament on Friday, July 11, 2025, regarding the pressing issue of health sector unemployment in Ghana.
In his address, the Minister presented staggering numbers of unemployed health professionals.
According to the Minister, a total of 48,878 nurses from the 2022 and 2023 batches are currently unemployed, although 15,000 nurses have received financial clearance and are awaiting payroll processing.
