Madam Nyonkopa Daniels, Executive Director of Peace Watch Ghana, has publicly stated that individuals are attempting to set “corruption traps” for her.
She believes these efforts are a direct result of her outspoken advocacy and criticism against corrupt individuals and those lacking integrity.
According to Madam Daniels, the plot aims to tarnish her image and falsely accuse her of corruption.
She recounted an incident that occurred on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, after a media appearance on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM.
She received a call from an individual claiming to be a medical doctor who proposed that she use her registered NGO to facilitate a deal for him. The caller reportedly claimed to have previously worked at Ridge Hospital, where Madam Daniels had received physiotherapy, and stated he was currently in the Northern Region working with foreigners on securing supplies that he wanted her to help process.
Madam Daniels explicitly warned those behind these alleged plots, stating she knows their identities and will expose them if they do not desist.
Madam Daniels further connected these alleged actions to individuals who she claims “ganged up” against former Inspector General of Police (IGP) George Akuffo Dampare, working to have him removed from his position.
She described these individuals, some of whom she stated previously worked in the Police Service, as “mean and evil.”
She issued a strong caution to the public, stating that should any harm befall her, these individuals would be held responsible, and she would expose them. Madam Daniels affirmed her resolve not to be intimidated or fall into such traps.
