The Ghana Immigration Service has conducted a special operation at McCarthy Hills in the Ga South Municipality following intelligence it gathered regarding the illegal stay of some foreign nationals.
A statement issued by the service said the operation was conducted in the early hours of today, July 24, 2025.
It stated that the foreigners included some individuals who were trafficked into the country and forced into cyber fraud by their facilitators.
“About 50 Nigerians have been taken so far, including the landlord of the apartment where the alleged illegality was taking place.
The public will be updated in due course of the outcome of the operations and subsequent investigations,” the statement added.
