Two students of Nalerigu Senior High School were reportedly shot and killed by unidentified gunmen on the school campus on the night of Saturday, July 26.
While the exact circumstances of the incident are still unclear, some local sources suggest the attack may be linked to the ongoing Bawku tribal conflict, although this connection has not been officially verified by authorities.
The Headmaster of Nalerigu SHS, Mr. Mohammed Tibila, confirmed to the media on Sunday that the shooting occurred on school grounds and that the victims were indeed students.
The tragic event has sparked fear and anxiety among both students and residents of Nalerigu, with many feeling unsafe and uncertain about their security.
