The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has formally initiated the nomination process for its presidential primaries.
Aspiring candidates are required to pay a non-refundable nomination fee of GH₵100,000 and a final filing fee of GH₵500,000.
The party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, made the announcement at a press conference in Accra on July 29, marking the commencement of the internal contest.
The nomination period spans from July 29, 2025, to August 28, 2025, with the presidential primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026.
“I’m happy to announce to you that we have officially opened nominations for our party members to become presidential candidates of our party for the 2028 elections,” the General Secretary declared.
