Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Acting CEO, Malik Basintale, has urged newly appointed officials in President John Dramani Mahama’s administration to prioritise their faith, reminding them not to let their busy schedules overshadow their gratitude to God for their 2024 election victory.
Basintale emphasised that while politicians often turn to God and other spiritual paths during campaigns, they frequently forget their spiritual roots once they secure a position in government.
Speaking at the Prophetic Hill Chapel, led by Prophet Nigel Gaisie, Basintale encouraged his colleagues to follow the example of President Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama.
“I want to urge my colleague appointees without the Lord, the builders build in vain. Let us emulate our boss, the nation builder John Dramani Mahama. There is not a Sunday that President Mahama together with his beautiful wife Mama Lordina they will not go to church,” he stated, reminding them that no one is busier than the president.
Basintale also shared a parable about remembering those who supported you.
“In life if you don’t remember those who were there for you, then like reverend said, you cannot go far. Even Jesus Christ when he was on the cross, there were two people by his side; one of them said if you know you’re God, free yourself. Jesus did not mind him. Then the other one said, me I believe you’re God and I know you’ll get to your father’s house when you get there remember me and when Jesus got there, he remembered him,” he recounted.
Basintale also praised Prophet Nigel Gaisie for his unwavering faith and prophecy of Mahama’s victory despite facing criticism and insults.
In a show of support for the new administration, Prophet Nigel Gaisie led the congregation in a prayer for the government.
He asked God to protect the new administration from scandals and anything that could cause Ghanaians pain.
