The Funeral Planning Committee for the state burial of the eight individuals who died in the helicopter crash has extended an invitation to individuals, institutions, and the public to participate in the ceremony.
The Committee is receiving messages of condolences and heartfelt tributes for inclusion in the official brochure for the state funeral, which is scheduled for August 15, 2025, at Black Star Square.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu (MP), Spokesperson to the President, Minister of Government Communications.
“As we prepare to bid farewell to our fallen compatriots, members of the public are encouraged to send messages of condolences and heartfelt tributes for inclusion in the official brochure.
Please submit your tributes via email to: tributes@presidency.gov.gh.
Deadline for submissions: Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM (noon) GMT,” the statement read.
It added that “a State Funeral will be held to honour the victims on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Black Star Square, commencing at 8:00 AM. May their courage, dedication, and spirit inspire us all to continue striving for a stronger, more united, and prosperous Ghana.”
