Ghana’s Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo, has announced a 25-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Chad and Mali.
Coach Addo has recalled notable players Thomas Partey and Kamal Deen Sulemana. The squad comprises three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders, and eight forwards.
In goal, Lawrence Ati-Zigi of St. Gallen is joined by Joseph Anang of St. Patrick’s Athletic and Benjamin Asare of Accra Hearts of Oak.
The defense features Gideon Mensah of Auxerre, Derrick Arthur Köhn of Union Berlin, Mohammed Salisu of AS Monaco, Jerome Opoku of Istanbul Başakşehir, Alexander Djiku of Fenerbahçe, Jonas Adjetey of FC Basel, Tariq Lamptey of Brighton and Hove Albion, and Caleb Yirenkyi of FC Nordsjaelland.
The midfield includes Elisha Owusu of Auxerre, Ibrahim Osman of Auxerre, Ibrahim Sulemana of Atalanta BC, Abdul Salis Samed of OGC Nice, and Ghana’s vice-captain Thomas Partey of Villarreal CF. Additionally, Mohammed Kudus of Tottenham Hotspur has been called up.
In attack, Otto Addo has selected Antoine Semenyo of Bournemouth, Joseph Paintsil of LA Galaxy, Jerry Afriyie of RAAL La Louvière, Kamaldeen Sulemana of Atalanta, Jordan Ayew of Leicester City, Iñaki Williams of Athletic Club, Christopher Bonsu Baah of Al-Qadsiah, and Jordan Ayew.
The Black Stars will face Chad on Thursday, September 4, at the Stade Olympique in N’Djamena, followed by a match against Mali on Monday, September 8, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
